The APT Command and Control Workstation is a full featured, electronic-chart-based tactical display station that maximizes COTS hardware and software tailored to the needs and requirements of Marine Security. APT Workstation interfaces with multiple separate sensors (Radar, AIS transponders, CCTV, Thermal Imaging, Swimmer Detection Sonar, etc.) and correlates the sensor data to provide a centralized, automated display of surface and underwater targets. Additional Command and Control Workstations can be established for independent monitoring, surveillance and assessment from multiple locations.
APT Workstations interface with multiple radar systems, correlate the tracked targets from each and provide a single track file output to the workstation display/s. The APT Workstation operator can assign a tracked target to the CCTV/Thermal Imaging camera controller sub-system and automatically hand off video tracking of the target among different cameras in different areas. The Digital Video Recorder sub-system will maintain a time stamped record from up to 15 cameras and all tracked targets.
Applying the optional Automatic Identification System (AIS) base station with APT enables vessels fitted with AIS transponders to be accurately identified and vectored from the Workstation to intercept or avoid any tracked target. All tracked targets, regardless of source, can be retransmitted to an electronic chart display on chase boats for a complete real time dynamic image of their operational areas. Point to point and/or broadcast text messaging is also possible over the AIS VHF data link for specific instruction to chase boats or broadcast warning messaging to all AIS fitted vessels.
